Kids Day at Gleneagle

Please join us for the first of what we hope will become an annual, "Kids Day at Gleneagle Golf Course" tradition. "Kids Day" will be on Saturday, May 19th (the Saturday during the Gleneagle garage/yard sale). Details and special guests will include:

KIDS ONLY GARAGE SALE - 9am - (?) dusk. Children are invited to participate in one of two, or both, ways:
Option 1: Sell Your Stuff: Children, w/ parent supervision, are invited to set up a table and sell gently used toys, books, games, clothing, furniture, sports equipment, etc for cash outside the Gleneagle Golf Course Clubhouse.
Option 2: "One For One" swap: Children may exchange items for "Gleneagle Bucks". Every item, regardless of size or monetary value, will be exchanged for one "Gleneagle Buck", and then later offered up for sale to participating children for one "Gleneagle Buck". Please drop off items for exchange between 9am - 1:00pm (child participants will be given their "Gleneagle Bucks" at that time), and then return after 1:30 to "shop". (The time lapse will allow us to accumulate a good selection, and also gives kids the option of exchanging items they were not able to sell for cash.) The exchange is for children only. Only children will be given Gleneagle Bucks. Only children will be allowed to "spend" Gleneagle Bucks.
- Please ensure all items sold or swapped are child appropriate, clean, are in working order, and contain all needed components in order to function.
- As a courtesy to our friends at the Golf Course restaurant, no food or drink sales, please unless prearranged and authorized by Gleneagle Golf Course management.

PERRFECT PALS CAT RESCUE - Perrfect Pals, along with a few of their furry friends, will be doing a special, on-site cat adoption event! They will also be doing some fundraising selling cat toys, accepting cat food, cat care supplies, and monetary donations, and be available to talk to anyone with an interest in fostering a homeless kitty. Stop by and say hi...or should I say..."meow".

ARLINGTON FIRE DEPARTMENT - Come meet local firefighters who will on-site early afternoon for an upfront look at a fire truck and an ambulance.

ARLINGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT - A special, Arlington PD canine unit will be making a special appearance and will be available for children to meet. Sure hope Perrfect Pals doesn't bring any "cat-burglars" - ha-ha! :)

ARLINGTON EAGLES FOOTBALL TEAM - Don't forget to wear your blue and gold, because members of the AHS Football Team will be on-site, in uniform, to meet-and-greet, and will be doing a special fundraiser of which the grand prize is a football that was autographed by Seattle Seahawk Lawyer Milloy himself! The football was generously donated by the Lawyer Milloy Football Camp. Flyers for the camp will be available at Kid's Day.

The First Tee - In 1997, the World Golf Foundation created The First Tee as a way to bring golf to young people that otherwise would not be exposed to the game and its positive values. The golf course, in alliance with The First Tee, will be bringing kid's golf to Gleneagle! The First Tee will be on-site selling used kid's golf equipment and to meet-and-greet and info-share about their program.
